Chair

When you sit on a chair (not broken), did you ever wonder? "Mmm.. I am not sure if that chair is gonna hold me. I wonder if it is strong enough to bear my weight." Have you ever thought like that? Probably not. When you sit on a chair (not broken), you just sit on it, without a question of doubt.

This is kind of like what it looks like for us to trust God. When we trust God, we never doubt, "Mmm... I am not sure if God is going to take care of. I am not sure if God is going to love me." We never raise those dobuts. Just as we sit on a chair with no question of doubt, we trust God for everything with no question of doubt as well. Because we can always trust Him.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see" (Hebrews 11:1).

Unopened Letter

Did you ever receive a letter from your friend? What if you received it and never opened it? Will you then ever know what your friend wanted to say to you? Will you ever know what was in your friend's heart?

Do you realize God also has given us a letter? And, that letter is the Bible! But, if you do not open it up and read it, will you ever know what God wanted to say to us? Will you ever know what was in God's heart? Maybe, it's time for you to open God's letter and start reading His heart for you. It is His Love Letter for you.

"...Meditate on God's law day and night..." (Joshua 1:8, Paraphrase).

Stars

Have you seen moon, and starts at night in the sky? How beautiful they are! But, have you wondered to yourself, why on earth stars and moon are up there in the sky? Well, do you realize they are there to sing? If you can't believe my words, here watch this video here. In this video, the guy brings in the voices of stars together to make a beautiful sound. They are real sounds of stars! Listen carefully!

Ain't that amazing? I mean all of God's natures are singing praises to Him! What about you? Are you praising God today? Will you let stars out-sing you?

Golden Egg

Do you remember the story called "The Goose who laid the golden egg?" Here, you can watch it, if you don't remember:

What a tragic story. Even though the farmer was so much blessed, he lost all of it, because of his greed. Do you realize the Bible warns against us about being greedy? The Bible says that when we become greedy it will make us not love God as much and do wrong stuff. So, we need to make sure that we do not become greedy about anything. And, the Bible says the reason He blesses us is so that we may share blessings with others, not so that we become greedy.

"Greed will make us sin..." (James 1:15, paraphrase).

Washing

"Man, how often do I need to pray and read God's words? They are so boring!" Have you ever said that to yourself? Well, how often do you wash your face and your body? I bet you do it every day, because we get dirty every day. Otherwise, your mom would not be happy with you.

So, just as we wash our face every day, because it gets dirty every day, we too need to wash our thoughts every day. As we live in this world, our thoughts may get dirty by the thoughts that are not pleasing to God. So, we need to wash our thoughts every day. That is why we need to spend time with God's words to make sure that our thoughts are filled with God's thoughts. And, we need to do this every day.

"...Be transformed by the washing of your thought..." (Romans 12:2, Paraphrase).

Mirror

Do you know what the mirror is for? We look at the mirror when we sense that our hair is messed up, or we feel like something is on our face. We look at the mirror to fix ourselves and to make sure that we are looking good!~

Do you know what we need to look at to make sure our heart is looking good? Just as the mirror shows what is wrong with our face, God's words reveal what is wrong with our hearts. So, for example, one day while reading the Bible, you may discover that your heart has sin problems. Then, that's when you start asking God to help you have a  good looking heart.

"Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart..." (Psalm 26:2, NIV).

Leap of Faith!

Isn't that dog amazing? The little adorable dog, even though scared to death, took a leap of faith! Flung right into the owner's arm, trusting "My owner is gonna catch me, when  I fall!" What a leap of faith!

Do you realize sometimes God wants us to take a leap of faith as well? For example, God may ask us to do things that we are scared of. But, God speaks to us, "You will be fine. Just trust me that I am gonna catch you when you fall. Jump!" In that moment, what do we do? Don't worry! Take a leap of faith! and... JUMP!
